Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a one day Industrial Visit on dated 12/02/2019, for All B.Tech-Electrical & Electronics and All M.Tech-Electrical Power Students along with three faculty members visited to 400 kV Transmission-Station MPPTCL, Khandwa Road, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, which will help the students to gain information regarding electrical power transmission and practical exposure for them. Total of 25 students visited 400 KV Transmission-Station MPPTCL.
Students were guided by Executive Engineer Mr. Pancholi Sir about overview of MPPTCL supply by Indra Sagar Project and transmit to Itarsi, pithampur as well as other zone also and Two Junior Engineer Mr. Deepak Gupta and Mr. Santosh Awasia provided practical exposure about Relay, Control panel of isolator, switchyard also given single line diagram of MPPTCL Switchyard for research work. 765KV EHV AC line is also used for transmission. PLCC (Power Line communication Channel), Wave trap, Transformer, pantograph Isolator, SCADA System, Battery bank and control panel of every equipment practically see by students. They were satisfied with the practical elaboration of knowledge. They all appreciated the visit organized by the department as well as the university as this visit helped them in better understanding regarding the layout and functioning of Transmission station.
