Message from Pro Vice-Chancellor’s Desk

When I think of a university, I think of a platform where academic and research freedom flourish, where knowledge and learning are unlimited; a place that nourishes invention and innovation- be it progressive or disruptive. Innovation may be of idea, product or process and anything that adds value to human life and society at large. This is my vision for Oriental University and the dream of my team.

To achieve this shared vision we furnish an environment that fosters talent and technology, competitiveness, creative thinking, imaginativeness and more. We invite intelligent minds and provide facilities, infrastructure, material, time and full cooperation in every way, to  bring out their best. Learning in such an atmosphere churns out brains / minds, who can think for themselves, who can muse and contemplate different ways of looking at simple ordinary things, thus generating, creating and innovating.

Our responsive and supportive faculty, curriculum, assignments help to develop skills and creative thought process in young minds. We aim to bring out the best in every student, because each one has the potential to create and contribute to society in great measure, whether a tiny effort or a wide reaching one. Even the smallest cog in the wheel, is a major building block in our machinery.

This philosophy is well expressed in our ‘Quality Policy’ as “Oriental University is committed to a culture of excellence by implementing policies to reward merit and quality output by faculty and students; and their becoming partners in the organization’s success and growth through effective management of quality systems”.

The journey doesn’t end here; there are still miles to go- because we travel “The Road Not Taken” and that WILL make all the difference.
