This year, USIEF is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the worldwide Fulbright program and its mission to forge lasting connections, counter misunderstandings, and help people and nations work together toward common goals. This celebration renews USIEF’s commitment to fulfill Senator J. William Fulbright’s goal of bringing “a little more knowledge, a little more reason, and a little more compassion into world affairs,” as well as increasing “the chance that nations will learn at last to live in peace and friendship.”
On February 17, USIEF announced the annual competition for the Fulbright-Nehru and other Fulbright fellowships for Indian citizens for the academic year 2022-2023. The Fulbright-Nehru fellowships offer students, faculty, and professionals the opportunity to study, teach, and conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields. The application deadlines begin on May 17, 2021. USIEF expects to offer approximately 115 Fulbright-Nehru fellowships to Indian applicants.
USIEF has also announced the annual competition for the Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowships. These fellowships are jointly funded by the governments India and the U.S. to build long-term capacity and address climate change related issues in both countries.
A brief outline of the fellowship opportunities is provided in the enclosed flyer. You can visit USIEF website (www.usief.org.in) for more details.
